As a start-up company you often get put under a lot of pressure. So much is expected from start-up companies and it can be pretty tough not only fulfilling your own expectations and your own targets but trying to fulfil everyone else’s too! Saying that though, there are some seriously hot tech start-ups out there at the moment and this is a list of the best. These companies are ones to watch, because big things are sure to come from all of them. The companies range from new social networking sites, to exciting new browsers and agencies. Have a read through and don’t forget to give us your opinions.
1. WIWT (What I Wore Today)
Set up by Poppy Dinsey, this is a social media site for fashion lovers and has great branding that appeals to men just as much as women (which is a hard challenge in the fashion world). The networking site was inspired by Dinsey’s successful personal blog, in which she posted a photograph of what she wore every day for a year. After her personal blog went viral and became the talk of online, the networking site (where people can upload their own outfit photos every day) swiftly followed – and is growing in numbers, users and success daily. Definitely one to watch!
2. CloudBees
Set up by Sacha Laboure in 2010 – this company is one that has been predicted huge growth in 2012. The company has hooked onto the buzz surrounding “the cloud” and has made every developers job 1000x easier. The founder, Laboure, openly admits he was not originally sold on the concept of “the cloud” but after looking into what it could help a business achieve he decided to embrace the idea and see where it could take him.
3. Mobiquity
Founded by Bill Seibel in 2011 – this company recently received $5 Million in funding. The company which deal with the concept of mobile marketing help small and large businesses develop, design and implement speciality strategies that concentrate on users and customers who use smart phones and tablets more than personal computers and laptops. The idea is a great one – especially with the huge rise in tablet sales during 2011 and early 2012 – and is set to take the marketing world by storm. With such interest from investors – this company is definitely one to watch!
4. Basekit
Basekit who provide an easy and accessible platform for web-beginners to host and design their own online platforms and websites are set for big expansion and growth in 2012. The company who have seen their business almost double over the last year (with large offices opening abroad) will no doubt see even larger growth during 2012. With their clever branding and great social media campaigning – their place on this list is well deserved!
5. Mobotap
Mobotap is the new, free browser available for mobile devices (Android and iPhone). There browser is called Dolphin and has had some amazing reviews already. The browser is quicker, smoother and completely changes the way we use mobile browsing on our phones. Many users have even said they prefer it over their original browser and default browser – which speaks very highly of the the service!
6. Pinterest
No list of techie start-ups would be complete without Pinterest. Pinterest is the new “major” social networking site and has already taken the world by storm. With users joining every minute and the word spreading even quicker this is one social media site you’ll want to keep your eye on. Will it be bought before 2012 has even finished? Only time will tell!

I have a suggestion: a company named as “Spotify ” could be added to the list! it’s founder is the former FB founder “Sean Parker” Thanks!
Is pinterest worth promting for our websites? I mean many people claim very good results in traffic by promting on Pinterest but then there is yet another set of people like me who saw no change in traffic because pinterest is popular majorly in the United States. What do you suggest?
