There are many games out there that I am looking forward to playing this year, and I have to say it looks to be a massive year for gamers, I know it is going to cost me a small fortune to get everything I want this year which sucks, but it is certainly not going to stop me from getting any of these top games.
The Force Unleashed II

I have to say as a Star Wars fan I was really enjoyed the first game, and despite it being quite short and lacking multiplayer it blew my mind away at times. The DLC where you got to kick the hell out of Boba Fett, Obi Wan Kenobi and of course Luke Skywalker was awesome! Despite these only happening on an alternate path (if the apprentice had chosen the dark side) it would seem the game follows up after the death of Starkiller in the first game, with his clonewaking up in the cloning world of Kamino, but remembering some of the previous events from the first game which already makes you think this is the real Starkiller and that he somehow survived!
The game looks to push for an amazing storyline like the first game with enhanced force moves and this time it seems Starkiller has something worth fighting for!
Halo Reach
This had to be on the list and for me not to include this would be a bit of a bad idea considering it’s going to be the one that will take up most of my spare time, so it needs to be given a mention at the very least. In terms of gameplay I can already assure you this is the best Halo game so far when it comes to multiplayer, as the Beta alone was amazing and this was before the game was finished. (See my review of the Beta here)
If you are unaware of the storyline it is set before the first three games involving Masterchief which is why you are still fighting the Elites and of course the planet Reach is the second most important planet to humankind as it is one that is home to most of the military.
Assassins Creed Brotherhood
Assassins Creed is certainly a game that you either really like or really hate, and I have to say although I felt the first game was okay, it was very repetitive and felt a lot of work could have been done to the game. The second game improved upon this massively making it easier to get around, better to fight and just overall made some really significant improvements. The third game in the series looks to continue this but unlike other games I actually hope they put an end to the series soon because it is a storyline I cannot see going on forever.
Nevertheless I think you will agree that this game is shaping up to be pretty awesome and is one that I am really looking forward to playing when it comes out in November.
These are only three of the games that I am going to be looking to buy when it comes to games this year and other titles include Fable III, FIFA 11, Mafia II, Dead Rising 2 and of course major games like Call Of Duty Black Ops. This is without even looking into the Kinect titles I will be buying, this I will go into in a few weeks when I have made those decisions!
All in all, a massive year for gaming and a very expensive one too!
What other top games to you think should be added to the list, and why?

I’m 100% with you on Halo Reach, the fact that the Beta was cruelly snatched away from me after I’d only played it twice makes me all the more eager to get it after it whetted my appetite. I reckon it’s going to be the best multiplayer FPS ever and I really hope it’s more popular than COD! When I think of Star Wars games I’m always reminded of the Phantom Menace RPG/action game that came out on the original Xbox and the 3rd person shooter which came out on PS2, both of which I really loved and if it’s anything like those I’ll be getting it! I most likely won’t be getting the new Assasins Creed, I’ve got the first two and I must say I’m just not a fan of the combat system, it feels to ‘automated’ One game you didn’t mention that I’m incredibly excited about is Formula One 2010, but since I’m a huge fan of the sport I’ll probably buy it even if it gets poor reviews, god forbid!

Of all the games, assassins creed I’m waiting on. As for halo. I played the first one and never want to play it again.
Fifa11, Pes2011 and Diablo III are my much expected games this year as they are my favorites of all time. I don’t care about all others. :)

They all seem like great games. When are they all coming out? I used to play a lot of games but now I actually don’t play at all. But I think if there is a good game coming out I might have to play it ;)

I played some of the AC Brotherhood beta on the PSN and I have to say that it is some of the finest, though somewhat weird, multiplayer I have ever experienced! It’s a little bare at the moment and there were definitely some glitches, but I’d have to say that it is my top pick for this year. Oh and maybe Fable 3. Too many good games!
