I know I have gone on about some of the awesome games that were released last month already in my in depth reviews on some of the
games. I will not be talking about Blur, Alan Wake or Split/ Second again but they are all games you really should buy. Here are some of the other games that were released in May 2010.

Red Dead Redemption

This is the big one of last month and although I mentioned it on a review I gave earlier it deserves another mention in the monthly roundup for being so awesome. If you can only buy one game from last month then it has to be this one because Rockstar have outdone themselves again. For more information on this game see my review. A definite 9/10 for this game.

Skate 3

Already, yep sadly so, Skate 3 has taken a yearly update route and it is safe to say that it really does show. There is hardly anything new to the game to if you are a fan of the series I would simply keep to the second edition. On the other hand if you are someone that has not entered the world of Skate before then it is something I would really recommend. Developers have added new online modes that focus in on team events more than anything but it really doesn’t make the game worth the price of a normal game. In terms of building your own park there have been a lot of new additions but unless you are into this I would give it a miss. All in all a 7/10 for this one

Not So Great

Lost Planet 2

I was a bit excited about this one when I heard about its release but at the same time very wary of what it is was going to be like so with this one I went out and gave it a rental. Boy was I glad I didn’t buy it. It is a game not even worth bothering with when it comes to single player and even multiplayer isn’t that great. The visuals are okay especially when it comes to the underwater kevels but other than this I wouldn’t give this game anything above a 5/10 and this is being generous. A sure one to skip.

One To Look Out For

Mario Galaxy 2

This is the big one, out on June 11th here in the UK and already out in the USA this one is Nintendo’s polish on the game of the year Mario Galaxy and by the looks of things they have done this and improved a lot on it.According to IGN and various other places that have already reviewed the game have it deserves 10 out of 10 which is simply astounding. Yoshi has now been put in the game and Mario gets a few new suits as well including the cloud suit and the rock suit. For more on this see my review coming up within in the next few weeks. I have not played this game yet but if it is like the first I am wagering I will give it at least a 9/10.
