I’ve considered on multiple occasions writing my own guides on how to jailbreak and unlock iPhone’s and iPod Touch’s. I know there is a whole host of various different sites out there with guides, but the thing is it’s often very difficult to determine which guide you need to follow as there are so many variables like what generation iPhone you have, what firmware is installed, what the boat loader is etc….
So while looking for a way to simplify this process I stumbled across this great site,http://jailbreakmatrix.com/ It just makes life so much easier, everything is displayed in a table and all you have to do is work out which iPhone/iPod Touch you have.
Go to Settings-General-About and see what Firmware Version you have and if it’s an iPhone what the Baseband is. Then simply match it up with the table and it tells you everything you need to know including links to the correct guides.
