There’s been lots of rumours running around over the last number of weeks about a new line of Macbook Pro’s coming to our shelves soon. They are due a much needed refresh if they are to keep up with the new range of laptops coming from the likes of HP and Toshiba.
We’re all being told to hold off on buying new Macbooks for the moment as this much rumoured hardware refresh is coming soon.
The screenshot below shows part numbers that Microcenter has received for new Mac systems.
Macrumors have since received independent confirmation from another source besides Microcenter that those part numbers are real, and that we should expect new 15″ and 17″ MacBook Pro’s very soon. The image shows 4 different systems:
Apple System Good-USA $1799.99
Mac system #1 Best-USA $2199.99
Mac system #2 Best-USA $2299.99
Mac system Better-USA $1999.99
There are speculations that the update will included 15 inch and 17 inch Macbook Pro’s. I expect the new line of Macbooks to include new Intel Chips, more than likely the i5 and i7 models which have been widely adopted by the likes of Toshiba, Sony and HP.
Best Buy stores are also showing no stock for 15 inch Macbook Pro’s in any stores or online which would also suggest new models arriving soon.
So if you were planning on buying a new Macbook Pro anytime soon, just hold back for a bit. A rumored release date has been set for April 13th with others saying sometime this month.
