Right guys! That’s it, it’s all over, now we wait for the annoucement of the next gen iPhone! Steve certainly had plenty for us to digest today with his “7 Tentpoles” as he liked to call them.

iPhone OS 4.0 certainly is a step up from the current iPhone OS and I think it’s brought more to the table than any other previous update. What’s more it’s also taken a stab at people like Google, Adobe and Microsoft’s Xbox Live.

Let’s have a quick recap and what was announced today and what we know for certain we can look forward to seeing in the next generation iPhone, as well as the current iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch this summer. The iPad isn’t due to get the update until the Fall.

1.Multitasking – At Last!

2.Folders - To Organise Apps and you can now change your background

3.Enhanced Mail

4.iBooks for the iPhone and iPod Touch

5.Enterprise – Better email encryption, Support for Multiple Exchange Accounts, Mobile Device Management, Wireless App Distribution

6.Game Center – A Social Gaming Network Like Xbox Live

7.iAd – New advertising inside Applications for Developers, interactive adverts

I’ll post some more details on these features soon, but for now here’s something for you to get your teeth into
