Nintendo seem to have a bumper line up of games coming to the Wii this year. We’ve got Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid on their way as well as a host of other unannounced titles. In a recent interview with Wired , Nintendo Vice President Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo’s release calendar for 2010 is “night and day,” when compared to its releases in the first half of 2009.
So they certainly seem to have plenty lined up in the pipes, and now were being told that a new Legend Of Zelda title may be on its way to the Wii this year. What’s more the Nintendo Chief will more than likely have more for us about Zelda at E3, the massive gaming conference held every year. So it looks like a very good line up for Nintendo for the second half of the year anyway.
As Wired pushed for more information on Zelda, Dunaway stopped short of explicitly saying a new title from the famed franchise is indeed coming this year. When asked if Nintendo would release Mario, Metroid, and Zelda “all in one year,” Dunaway was coy, saying jokingly that Wired owes her “a steak dinner,” since the publication predicted earlier this year that Nintendo wouldn’t release all three titles in a single year.
Zelda was one of the first games released for the Wii and was one of the best sellers, to see another one released this year would be great!
So we’ll just have to wait and see for now
