Just a couple of weeks ago Apple announced the ” Countdown To 10 Billion Songs “with the contest winner getting a cool $10,000 voucher for iTunes. At the time, the iTunes store counter read just over 9.8 Billion.

Yesterday iTunes reached the incredible 10 Billion download mark, it’s quite an achievement for Apple and just goes to show how dominant they are in this market.

So i’m sure your all dying to know what the 10,000,000,000 song downloaded was, well it was none other than Johnny Cash, with his “Guess Things Happen That Way” which became yet another landmark victory for Apple’s online store. Louie Sulcer, a resident of Woodstock, Georgia bought song #10,000,000,000 and was awarded with the $10,000 Itunes gift card.
