I know lots of you can’t wait to get your hands on the Apple iPad, personally i’m not one of them but I still feel obliged to let you know all about the iPad as I’m still interested in it.
According to AppAdvice, the Apple iPad will be up for pre order next week, February 25th. Steve Jobs t0ld us that the Wi-Fi only version of the iPad would be available 60 days from the announcement ( March 29th ) and that the 3G model would be available in 90 days.
Now this information comes from a “reliable” source, how many times have we heard that? So I wouldn’t take it to be set in stone somehow. They claim that the pre-orders will only be available in the US and it will only be the Wi-Fi model available. AppAdvice have also been known to supply us with some wrong information in the past.
Apple have allowed for pre-orders of the iPhone 3GS but they never did for the First Gen iPhone, which was based on a first come first served basis.
There also seems to be lots of people hoping for a few more unannounced features to pop up in the iPad before it’s officially released. After all, we were only told the iPhone had Youtube support 9 days before its launch. It’s also been noticed that several of the iPhone/iPod Touch minor applications were missing from the iPad. These include Stocks, Weather, Voice Memo, Clock, and Calculator. Maybe there coming later?
