While the music industry has had it’s fair share of controversy over the Christmas number one this year, it seems that a little controversy has helped Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to grab this years number one all platform game.

This is the 6th Week that COD has been top of the charts and broke several records with its release.

On the other hand, games for the Wii have been dominant, taking 6 of the top 10 positions in the Christmas rankings. These games included Nintendo’s very own Wii Fit Plus, Wii Sports Resort, New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart, as well as Sega’s Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games and Ubisoft’s Just Dance.

Games like Fifa 10 managed to make a come back in the Christmas sales, jumping from 5th to 2nd place, on the other hand Assassin’s Creed 2 did less well, dropping to the 5th spot from 3rd.

What games did you guys buy this year?
