One of Microsoft’s attempts to get users onto Windows7, was to offer a family pack, this allowed users to install Windows 7 home premium on 3 PC’s. It also represented great value and cost just $149.99 for the 3 licenses, where as it costs $119.99 for just a single license. Giving users a saving of almost $210.

Well during the weekend, suppliers were running low on Family pack licenses, and now Microsoft have officially pulled the offer and visitors to the US Microsoft Family Pack website are presented with the message “The Windows 7 Family Pack Offer has ended”.

However for users in the UK, the family pack is still being offered and is still available for sale at Amazon UK. So it looks like UK distributors haven’t started running low on stock yet, but if you were thinking of getting Windows 7, I’d grab a family pack now before there gone.
