News of Google’s new OS, “Chrome” is rumoured to have a beta release within the next week according to techcrunch. google-chrome-logoThey say they have head form a reliable source that the new OS is on it’s way, Google had previously announced that a Beta would be available in the fall.

We had an article a while back with what looked to be rumoured first screenshots of the new OS, lets see if these turn out to be true, see it here.

It’s expected that driver support may be an issue with this new OS and Google are said to be working hard on providing hardware drivers for the OS. People wont be interested in using an OS which requires downloading drivers and messing around with various components to make it work. It’s also thought that Google may only will only endorse a small set of devices that will be able to have their new OS installed on.

So now that’s all left to do is wait and see if this rumour turns out to be true.

Do you think Google’s new OS will be a success? Let us know in the comments
