Apple’s store went down earlier today for some updates in line with rumors expecting updates to Apples iMac Line. A short while after it was back up with some interesting products, including a redesigned iMac, MacBook and Mac Mini as well as a new Magic Mouse

Updated 13-inch MacBook

The new MacBook has a uni-body design, similar to the ones found on the MacBook Pro except it’s still made from Polycarbonate. It’s still very similar to the old MacBook, but has slightly rounded edges and has the track pad from the MacBook Pro. It now has a LED backlit screen, again like the MacBook Pro. This will help improve battery performance which Apple say will last for 7 hours.Macbook

It features a zippy 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo Processor, 2 GB of DDR3 Ram ( faster than normal ram ) expandable up to 8 GB. It comes with a 250 GB hard drive and Nvidia 94ooM Graphics as well as a 8 x Dual layer Super drive for burning CDs and DVDs.  It retains its original price of $999 and is available for purchase now. Apple finally released the much talked about new line of iMacs. The new machines are available in 21.5-inch and 27-inch displays and now sport the aluminum enclosure, similar to the MacBook Pro. The new monitors are LED backlit and have a large 178 Degree viewing angle and the 21.5 inch model has a 1920 x 1080 resolution, while the 27-inch model has a massive 2560 x 1440. Apple have added an additional SD card slot and video-in on the 27 inch model. The new wireless keyboard comes as standard as well as this new Magic Mouse.iMac

They start at $1199 for the low end 21.5-inch model with a 3.06GHz Core 2 Duo processor with Nvidia Geforce 9400M graphics and a 500 GB hard drive. All of which are  upgradeable for a $1499 model which has 1 TB storage and ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics.

The base 27-inch model starts at $1699 with the same specs buy can be bumped up to a 3.33GHz Core 2 Duo and at the very top is Intels latest Quad-core processor the 2.06GHz Core i5 ( wont be available till November ) and Radeon HD 4850 graphics for $1999. Find out more about the new iMacs here

The more expensive $799 model has a 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo, 4 GB Ram and a 320 GB hard drive. Both models have Nvidia Geforce 9400M graphics and the 8x Superdrive. New Magic Mouse And Wireless Keyboard

The new keyboard now comes with an aluminum finish but the new Magic Mouse has a lot more to it. It certainly looks great and Apple have put just one button on it and no scroll wheel. Instead it’s a multi-touch sensitive device which is very like the track pad on their laptops. You can perform horizontal swipes, one finger scrolling as well as your normal clicks. It operates via Bluetooth so you don’t have to worry about cables. It will cost $69 but will come as standard in with all Macs. Find out more hereMagic_Mouse_610x281
